Blood is primarily a protein, which once dried is tough to get out. Here are some tips for you:
  1. Act Fast: The sooner you treat it, the easier to take the stain off your bedspreads, mattress, or sheets.
  2. Use cold water: Hot water will 'set' the stain and make it difficult to remove. 
  3. Apply stain removers: If the stain is really hard to clean, apply stain removers such as Spray 'n Wash, Shout, or OxiClean before you put it into the washer.
